When something amazing happens, I take note. I like to collect amazing experiences. So I can HeartMath* them. After the incredible experience has ended, I practice remembering it fully, adding it to my inventory of amazing experiences. It does not have to be gone, instead I use the memory of this uplifting time to encourage me when I need it. Sure it is not the same, but who is to say that that beautiful experience is over? I can keep it alive, if I pay attention.
*Yeah, I made up that verb based on an exercise from a book called “Transforming Stress: The HeartMath Solution for Relieving Worry, Fatigue and Tension” by Doc Childre and Deborah Rozman, PH.D Basically, when stressed: remember a peaceful happy experience with lots of detail and your stress level decrease.
